On Smoking and Your Skin

>

Smoking is bad. Wow! Big news! I think we all can agree to this fact, however one thing is saying smoking is bad, and another is actually quit smoking.

Addictions work that way, we know they are bad but we keep doing it. Thanks to God, I'm not addicted to smoking. Sure, I did it for a while but after some weeks it always came to a point where it just made me sick. I can't make you stop smoking, but I want to write here that it actually affects your entire body, and your skin is no exception.

Smoking mines your men's skin care efforts. To start, and according to medical research, Nicotine and carbon monoxide (found in the cigarettes) reduce blood circulation by constricting the vessels that carry nutrient-rich blood and oxygen to the top layers of the skin. Collagen's production is affected, and with it, the ability to produce new skin. Smoking also provides high levels of matrix metalloproteinase, an enzyme that destroys collagen. What does this all means? Smokers end up with dry, saggy and old-looking skin.

The more you smoke, the more it shows, but just because you've been smoking for 2 years adn it doesn't show, doesn't mean that you are healthy. You are still being affected by the same things.

So, what to do? Saying it is pretty easy right? Quit. Doing it is the hard part, but not at all impossible. Nowadays, there are many iads to help you quit smoking.

After that, you have to eat the right foods, these are foods that provides nucleic acids (fish like sardines, salmon or tuna). Antioxidants and food supplements are also a must. You can find complete information on our article Foods to Eat for Clear Skin. Remember that you have to make up for all those years damaging your skin and health.

It's all worth it. I know it is hard but hey man! you can do it!
