Natural skin care is a pretty easy concept. It involves avoiding using products made with chemical ingredients. Sometimes you need to use natural-based products but it also involves adopting new habits in your life that will reduce a lot the need of products.
Here are some tips to get you started on natural skin care without buying skin care stuff:
Avoid Excess Sugar. It would be good to avoid all sugar, but I know this is hard step for all of us. Sugar is like a drug that we just can’t quit, and we think it is doing no harm, but recent studies have shown that sugar promotes premature aging. Excess sugar can lead to AGEs (advanced glycation end products) and these AGEs damage collagen in skin, cartilage and ligaments, promoting wrinkles.
Get moving! Circulation is essential to the overall health of our body. If you are sitting all day take a break! It doesn’t hurt to walk a little and you will be doing wonders for your body. You don’t think we have these marvelous bodies to have them sitting all day do you?
Exfoliate with a dry brush. Do this every morning before showering to eliminate dead cells on the outer layers of the skin. When you exfoliate you are also contributing to blood circulation and avoiding puffiness. Other benefits include a soothing sensation and body detox.
Take care of your digestive system. If you eat junk foods you may have sentenced for a life of bad skin. You have to eat well to avoid digestive conditions. These conditions are presents in people who suffer from acne, rosacea and psoriasis. The two key ingredients to a healthy digestive system: water and fibers.
Eat fats (the good ones). These are the Essential fatty Acids, they are needed in your body, and have a lot of benefits that you should be aware of such as cell membrane production, avoiding inflammation or even preventing cancer. You can find essential fatty acids on flaxseed and walnut oil, fish meat and nutrition supplements.
